Club David will remain LGBTQ+-friendly bar after new owners bought it out in May
Yes, Club David is still going to be an LGBTQ+-friendly bar after changing ownership May 1, 2022.
That's the word from Stacy Newcomb, president of the company that owns Parker's Bistro, Icon Lounge and DaDa Gastropub, as well as recently-purchased Club David.
Newcomb said the previous owner of Club David never explicitly advertised the club as a "gay bar," but rather, people in Sioux Falls who frequented the club started calling it as such because it was a welcoming place for the LGBTQ+ community.
After all, there's space in the club for drag performers to get ready for shows, the club regularly hosts drag shows year-round, and has hosted and plans to host several events this Pride month alone.

"Absolutely, we aren't going to change anything about the business or the people that like to come there," she said. "We hope to proceed the clientele that comes to David's, and we hope to attract recent people, too."
