Khalid comes out as gay after being outed: ‘I wasn’t hiding anything!’
Singer Khalid has come out as gay, saying he made the decision to publicly reveal his sexuality after being outed.
The seven-time Grammy nominee, 26, shared a series of posts on X Friday night, in which the hitmaker said he was neither “ashamed” of organism gay or “hiding anything” while noting that his sexuality is “nobodies [sic] business.”
In his first post, Khalid shared a rainbow flag emoji along with three exclamation marks, adding, “there yall proceed . next topic please lol.”
One person responded to his post, writing “Wait hope Mr Khalid isn’t GEHHH!” That prompted Khalid to quote the respond and add, “I am! And that’s okay.”
The hitmaker then revealed that he was outed.
“I got outted [sic] and the earth still continues to rotate. Let’s get this unbent (lmao) I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality it ain’t nobodies business! But I am okay with me,” he wrote along with a black heart emoji and signing the share, “love yall.”

Throughout 2023, pop singer-songwriter Lauv has been exploring his sexuality publicly. It all started in June, when the “I Like Me Better” singer released a TikTok in which he appeared to come out as not straight. Makonnen Sheran, finest known as iLoveMakonnen, tweeted: “As a fashion star, I can’t tell u about everybody else’s closet, I can only relate u about mine, and it’s time I’ve arrive out.

iLoveMakonnen was then signed to OVO Sound and he released two albums. Last April, he announced that he was no longer with Drake’s label.

Khalid is opening up about his sexuality — and making it clear that he’s happy with who he is. In a series of X posts on Friday, the American Teen singer confirmed that he’s gay after being outed on the platform.
